Pregnancy Must-Haves
If you’re here because you’re pregnant, congratulations! Honestly, I do not enjoy the first few months of pregnancy. I always feel VERY SICK and BARF A LOT. I have put together a short list of pregnancy essentials. As of today, I am 23 weeks pregnant and NEED these items almost daily.
Maternity Baby Bump Premium Maternity Shapewear- https://amzn.to/2V1nwmm
Almost 5k good reviews and they are not lying! These little shorts are the best. They offer bump support and prevent chaffing. Once you put them on, they stay in place all day. No riding up, no shifting around. I love maxi dresses so I wear them underneath. I can’t live without them. Plus, they wash and dry nicely, no need to air dry. I can’t say enough nice things about these shorts.
Young Living Essential Oils
I have been using Young Living Essential Oils on and off for years. I used Essential oils for my last pregnancy and they helped me naturally go into labor and deliver without the need for an epidural. I knew I wanted to get back into oils when I found out I was pregnant this time. Lavender to help me sleep, the allergy trio (lemon, peppermint, and lavender) diffused to help with springtime allergies, peppermint to ease nausea, purification for a clean house, the list goes on. My next order will have Clary Sage for when it’s time to get my body into labor. I really love and trust these oils. I don’t sell them, so I don’t think I have a link but connect with your local distributor for more.
*update* Anyone who buys a premium starter kit is considered a “distributor,” who knew? Here is the link to pick up Young Living products for yourself https://bit.ly/3xiWfdB.
WATER
Even pre-pregnancy, I drank so much water. We all know how important water is during pregnancy. I need my water to be ice cold. Here are 2 water bottles I swear by and have used regularly throughout my pregnancy.
Bubba Stainless Steel Tumbler - https://amzn.to/3xld8En
Con - this one does leak when it falls over (imagine that) but does a pretty good job of keeping the water cold, fits into cup holders, and is super affordable.
Hydro Flask Water Bottle - https://amzn.to/3wn8MeQ
This big boy keeps water ICE cold and does not leak is but not a great fit for most cupholders.
Lotions
I have dry skin normally and it’s even worse in pregnancy. Here are some of my unscented favorites:
Bio-Oil Skincare Oil – https://amzn.to/3jKWeem
I have been applying this to my belly since early pregnancy and so far, no stretch marks. I like to use it at night because It’s a very oily oil. (Duh)
Versed Dew Point Moisturizing Gel-Cream – https://bit.ly/3hg1yF5
I use this on my face and I CANNOT go on without it. I love this face lotion so much. It soaks in very quickly and hydrates so well. The whole Versed line from Target is just fantastic.
Eucerin Advanced Repair Lotion - https://amzn.to/3yjE1bW
At first, I thought this was old lady lotion, and it might be but the old ladies have it right. I use this after every shower and it’s so good. When I found out I was pregnant, I wanted to switch to unscented body lotion so I gave this a shot. This is by far my new favorite body lotion, and it’s so affordable! I will continue to use this post pregnancy and beyond.
DELIVERY SERVICES!
Early on, when I was constantly barfing, I completely succumbed to my cravings. Because I didn’t gain any weight for the first 22 weeks, if I thought of something tasty, I would order and have delivered. I used DoorDash, UberEats, Shipped, Amazon Prime, Whole Foods Delivery, whatever. If you’re not feeling well, or just tired, have things delivered (even your groceries)! Save your energy for more important matters.
I hope this helped! Share some of your pregnancy faves in the comments below.
