Let’s Make Self-Care SIMPLE
Self-care is VITAL to a happy life. That’s a big statement, but we at Shaping Strong Families stand by it 100%. Moms, listen up. Self-care doesn't have to be a crazy expensive day at the spa, or even spending the whole day laying in bed or in your bathtub eating chocolates. Self-care is simple and sweet.
Wikipedia says self-care is, “The process of taking care of oneself with behaviors that promote health and active management of illness when it occurs.” Let's focus on the kind of self-care that promotes health and shift that mindset to focus on mental health. Self-care can be as simple as enjoying your morning cup of coffee in peace. Self-care can be as easy as using your favorite body lotion after your morning shower. Self-care can be as effortless as taking an evening walk and enjoying the weather. You get the idea.
Our clients often find it's a lot easier to do these self-care tasks when they are planned in advance. It’s no surprise to hear that moms are crazy busy. Moms often put themselves on the back burner and the time for their self-care goes right out the window on the way to soccer practice. This ends today! Plan to make time to care for yourself and your mental health. You’ve heard it before: you can't pour from an empty cup. You have to make time to fill it back up.
We are sharing a super simple FREE DOWNLOAD to help mamas schedule time for their own self-care. This download can be printed, used as a PDF, or even uploaded to a note taking app like GoodNotes for you to enjoy.
When you are making your list and filling in your seven day self-care plan, think simple and attainable. If you’re feeling ambitious, get a little more complex in your care plan! Then, keep planning your self care every single week. Make time for you, mama, because you deserve it.
