It’s Sweater Weather, Ladies!

As a midwestern girl, I want everyone to know that fall is here and it is fabulous! As you might have already guessed, it’s my favorite time of the year. Full-time, warm-weather states definitely have a lot to be thankful for. But I think they miss just a little bit of magic when it comes to experiencing all four seasons and the simple joys that come with fall.

One of the things I really love is the wardrobe transition that comes with fall! I get a kick out of the process of unpacking all of my cool weather apparel. It’s a joy for me to get those things washed and ready, while storing my summer clothes until the spring. I have always cherished the cozy comfort that comes with putting on a freshly-washed sweater to start the season.

The transition of colors all throughout nature is another part of fall that is truly amazing.  Stunning outdoor beauty for as far as the eye can see. The temperature outside is just right; not too hot or too cold. And there’s a calming coolness that comes with a very distinct scent in the air. The leaves crackle and pop under our shoes. Pumpkins are all around and other fall decor items are all around. So much fun! Fall is here.

Finally, fall is about change. Fall allows us lucky Midwesterners to ease our passage into the frigid winter months, while enjoying all of the beauty, fun, and activities that come with it. So let’s raise that cup of hot cocoa and give a toast to fall!
